BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Dodie Ulery, a native of Daytona Beach, is an award winning artist, specializing in fiber arts, including weaving , basketry and Chinese Calligraphy. Her work is seen and sold in art galleries and shops in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna, Ocoee, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Tampa, Gainesville, Deland and Jacksonville.
She shares her life with her husband, family and pets on five acres, certified as a wildlife habitat by both the National Wildlife Federation and the Institute for Urban Wildlife. She facilitates workshops in all types of wildlife related gardening, including Butterfly Gardening, Growing Lotus in Tubs, Hummingbird Gardening, Gardening with Native Plants, Container Gardening, Victorian Herb Gardening and Habitat Creation and Maintenance, as well as workshops for Photographing Children and Pets, Photographing Flowers and Gardens and Creating Pine Needle Baskets. A University of Florida Certified Master Gardener, Dodie’s a volunteer for the state agricultural department with gardening, wildlife and plant problem solving.
She’s an award winning photojournalist. Her freelance articles have appeared in publications such as JUMP MAGAZINE, FATE MAGAZINE, FLORIDA GARDENING, NEW RADIANCE METAPHYSICAL AND HOLISTIC DIRECTORY, GOLDEN LIFESTYLES, CIRCLE NETWORK NEWS, DAYTONA SUN TIMES, FLORIDA GARDENER, CIRCLE MAGAZINE and TOUCHSTONE PRESS. She is a 1997 graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. Several pieces of her fiction have appeared in local publications. From 1980 to 1987 she published the first metaphysical newsletter in Central Florida. She studied Tarot with a European mystery school for seven years. Because of her work, she has been the featured guest on twelve radio talks shows aired across the United States, Canada and South Africa.
Since her ordination in 1983 she has worked to mainstream metaphysical thought. She teaches classes and facilitates workshops on Personal, Spiritual and Psychic Development, Meditation, Prosperity, Creating Magickal Spaces, Feng Shui, Tarot , Palmistry, Numerology, Journaling, Metaphysical Healing, Angelic Communication, Dreams, Mechanics of Reincarnation, Wish Fulfillment, Chakras and Bodies, Healing with Crystals, Making Flower Essences and Wicca. She is available by appointment for private counseling.
She is a certified Ethical Hypnotist. She facilitates past life workshops which include both group and individual past life regressions.
On August 7, 2007, her first book , DEFINING MIRACLES, was released by Jasmine-Jade Enterprises. Her second book, PALMISTRY TO GO, was released in January, 2008.
