The Law of Attraction

Since the dawn of existence mankind has recognized that there was a mighty invisible force that governs and controls the universe and man has tried to understand and use this process.

Today the majority of people are drifting through life with no idea of where they are going, at the mercy of chance, doubt and circumstance. The ones who are making progress are unconsciously using this force, which is the birthright of every individual.

The scientific world is beginning to discover what metaphysical and spiritual teachers have known for centuries. Our physical universe is not really composed of any matter at all. Its basic component is a kind of force or essence which we call energy.

Physically we are all energy and everything within and around us is made up of energy. We are all part of one great energy field. We are all one, even in a literal, physical sense.

The energy is vibrating at different rates of speed and thus has different qualities from finer to denser. Thought is a relatively fine, light form of energy and therefore very quick and easy to change. Matter is relatively dense, compact energy and therefore slower to move and change. Within matter there is great variation as well. Living flesh is relatively fine, changes quickly and is easily affected by many things. A rock is a much denser form, slower to change and more difficult to affect. Yet even a rock is eventually changed and affected by the fine, light energy of water, for example. All forms of energy are interrelated and can affect one another.

Energy of a certain quality or vibration tends to attract energy of a similar quality and vibration. This is the Law of Attraction.

Thoughts and feelings have their own magnetic energy which attracts energy of a similar nature. We can see this principle at work, for instance, when we accidentally run into someone we’ve been thinking of or happen to pick up a book that contains the information we need at that moment. Thought manifests instantly, unlike the denser forms such as matter.

When we create something, we always create it first in a thought form. A thought or idea always precedes manifestation. Simply having an idea or thought and holding it in your mind is an energy that will tend to attract and create that form on the material plane. Thoughts become things.

So it is with our lives. We become what we think about most, whether those thoughts are positive, such as love, beauty and abundance or negative, as with hate, envy, fear and poverty. Your present character is made up of countless thoughts beliefs and habits, entertained and formed by you at some point in the past. This character is impressed on your subconscious mind and is the cause of your present health, state of mind and present financial status. Your future will be formed by your predominate thoughts today.

If you have thoughts of failure, change them to thoughts of success. Replace thoughts of illness with thoughts of health. Concentrate on what you want, not on what you don’t want.

One of the best examples of this process in my own life was learning how to draw my perfect relationship. I was instructed to write a description of the perfect man, including his hobbies and interests. I was then do one thing a day which would make me more like this man and visualize us together. The Laws of Attraction went to work and I soon met my husband.

You can change your tomorrows today.
