BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION  -  Dodie Donder Ulery

Dodie Ulery is a native of Daytona Beach. She is an award winning artist, specializing in fiber arts, including weaving , basketry, gourd craft and Chinese Calligraphy. Her work is readily available in art galleries in the Daytona Beach, New Smyrna, Ocoee, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Tampa, the University of Florida Museum of Natural History and Cummer Museum and Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida.   

She shares her life with her husband, family and pets on five acres which has been certified as a wildlife habitat by both the National Wildlife Federation and the Institute for Urban Wildlife. She facilitates workshops in all types of wildlife related gardening, including Butterfly Gardening, Victorian Herb Gardening and Habitat Creation and Maintenance, as well as workshops for photographing children and flowers, pine needle basketry and gourd craft. She is a University of Florida Certified Master Gardener and a volunteer for the state agricultural department with gardening, wildlife and plant problem solving.

She’s an award winning photojournalist and a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. Her photographic images have appeared in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, FLORIDA GARDENING, ART & SCIENCES MAGAZINE, NATIONAL LEAGUE OF AMERICAN PEN WOMEN MAGAZINE, GRIT MAGAZINE, WORLD RELIGIONS, FLORIDA WILDLIFE, AHS CALENDARS 2000 and 2001, AUDUBON SOCIETY PUBLICATIONS and websites, NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION magazines and websites, GULFSHORE LIFE MAGAZINE, RELIGION IN AMERICA SERIES, by Oxford University, BIOLOGY-UNDERSTANDING LIFE , PAN GAIA MAGAZINE  as well as cover images for BIRD TIMES, October 1998,  SUN TIMES MAGAZINE, ASSOCIATION FOR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION INTERNATIONAL, Winter 2000 and FLORIDA GARDENING MAGAZINE, Spring 2001. She received the SILVER ADDY AWARD in 2002 for a magazine cover image.

As a freelance writer many of her articles have appeared in publications such as JUMP MAGAZINE, FATE MAGAZINE, FLORIDA GARDENING, NEW RADIANCE METAPHYSICAL AND HOLISTIC DIRECTORY, GOLDEN LIFESTYLES, CIRCLE NETWORK NEWS, DAYTONA SUN TIMES and TOUCHSTONE PRESS. She is a 1997 graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. Several pieces of her fiction have appeared in local publications. From 1980 to 1987 she published the first metaphysical newsletter in Central Florida.   She studied Tarot with a European mystery school for seven years.  Because of her work, she has been the featured guest on twelve radio talks shows aired across the United States, Canada and South Africa.

Since her ordination in 1983 she has worked to mainstream metaphysical thought. She teaches classes and facilitates workshops on Personal, Spiritual and Psychic Development, Meditation, Prosperity, Creating Magickal Spaces, Feng Shui, Tarot , Palmistry, Numerology, Metaphysical Healing, Angelic Communication and Wicca. She is available by appointment for private counseling.

She is a certified Ethical Hypnotist. She facilitates past life workshops which include both group and individual past life regressions.

In February, she was offered a publishing contract with The Lotus Circle Publishing, to publish her first book, DEFINING MIRACLES.   It was released August 7, 2007 and is available from most metaphysical bookstores and Barnes and Noble.  Her second book,  PALMISTRY TO GO was released in January, 2008, and is available at the same locations.

As a psychic investigator, she has worked with many law enforcement agencies including Riviera Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia.
